RE: More bizzar weather

They used to say that summer in Buffalo NY was "two weeks of lousy skiing". Global warming has changed this.... Now, summer in Buffalo is three weeks of lousy skiing! Guess who used to live in Buffalo? :-) corky

RE: More bizzar weather

They used say that Buffalo NY had two seasons; Winter and the 4th of July. Global warming has changed this.... Now Buffalo has three seasons; Winter, the 4th of July and the 5th of July.... corky

RE: $200,000 Mustang?

I suspect that there are many folks out there who would suggest that any person who would spend over $100K on an RV should have their head examined... The old saying "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!" rings true here... Some see beauty in cars...others in RV's.... corky

RE: Myrtle Beach early Jan

Hi Early Jan doesn't start till tomorrow, but it's in the 60's today and sposed to be in the 60's tomorrow... Going fishing on the jetty in about 30 minutes. Suspect that we will catch some "rays" as there isn't a cloud in the sky :-) corky

RE: Input wanted from folks interested in a CCP

I'm not an expert in this area, but I suspect that if you could spend about 15 minutes of your lecture having your students view several dozen pictures of gun caused wounds might go a long way towards insuring caution on the part of your students... corky

RE: Myrtle Beach Restaurant Recommendations??

In recommending this place to you, I will be giving the "Locals" best kept secret away.... The Gulf Stream Cafe in Garden City.... They have a great early bird special that runs from 4 to 6... corky

RE: The arrogance is unbelievable!

Look at it this way: If you use the self checkout line and the service is slow and lacking quality, you only have yourself to blame... If the service is good and speedy, you can take the credit for it.... corky

RE: A "yard sale" what-would-you-have-done question

Remember "One man's trash is another's treasure" Perhaps they believed that what they were selling was "treasure".... corky

RE: ceiling fan help please

It's almost like the common is open and you are completing the circuit via the copper ground wire. The problem may rest at your circuit panel where the fan circuit common is terminated to the main common block... corky

RE: Just I want to hear before my trip to Myrtle

I live in the MB area.... This summer when fishing we've caught a substantial amount of sharks in the jetty and off of Huntington Beach State Park... Largest was around 4 foot and the smallest about 12"... I should note that many of these were caught about 100 yards off of the beach.. I urge caution when swimming.... not only caution due to sharks, but caution due to rip tides... corky

RE: Sand deadlier than sharks?

Up north there are similar situations.... In fall, the leaves awaiting to be picked up are piled up along the roadways. Kids love to play and hide in them. An unsuspecting driver comes along and unknowingly drives over the pile... enough said! Similar situation when it comes to plowed snow along the streets and driveways (Buffalo NY). Kids dig tunnels in the snow piles.... enough said again!!!! corky
